Weekly Newsletter for The Freelancers: Here is the latest newsletter of the week starting on 21st October 2019.
Are you a freelancer or small entrepreneur and don’t realize the necessity of every small business having a website?
If so, it’s time to rethink about it. Having your own business website has a number of critical benefits. A website enables you to keep your shop open for 24 hours. In today’s digital economy that can be essential.
Moreover, it is the easiest way to come closer to your customers when they are online. You’ll find a new horizon of marketing. It’ll lead you to more sales and more revenue.
Customer data collection and analysis are important for any type of businesses. A business website enables you to do so at less cost.
There are more reasons why your small business should have its own website. Susan Ward has written 7 reasons every small business should have a website for www.thebalance.com and can be read by clicking here.

Did You Know A Driver’s License Can Be Revoked For The Elderly, But Artistic License? Never
“Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with
others. Unfold your own myth.”
– Jalaluddin Rumi
The benefits and importance of being creative are many. People can gain immortality through their creative work. According to science they usually lead a longer life than non-creative people. Creative people have less negative emotions, less stress and anxiety. In a word, creativity, improves the quality of your health and life. [source]
Creative people are generally better problem solvers. Creative people aren’t afraid to fail. So, they have a higher level of confidence in doing any task, which is very important for freelancers.
There are many creative people in the world ages 65-100 plus, and they are still working. They’re becoming younger day by day through their work. They’re happy with what they’re doing.
I’ve recently read an article by Richard Morgan on www.99uadobe.com entitled “A Driver’s License Can be Revoked for the Elderly, but Artistic License? Never.”, where some aged people were featured for their creative work life. I have found their speeches were full of inspiration.
I highly recommend that freelancers read the article from start to finish. The article can be read by clicking here. Are you creative too?

Do You Know How You Can Benefit From Contributing To Open Source?
As a freelancer, I think you’re familiar with open source. There are lots of people and organizations who contribute to open source.
But, there is no reason to think that a profit-driven company, freelancer or a small firm can’t benefit from contributing to open source. There are actually a number of benefits you’ll enjoy from this.
First of all, you’ll have a free publicity. The community will know about you and the service you offer. Maybe you’re creating some potential customers through this! You’ll get free support from the community too.
Joshua Kraus has written How your company can benefit from contributing to Open Source for www.sitepoint.com and you can the article by clicking here. I think the benefit number four is particularly important.
